One of the latest classes at my local craft store was to make a sweet mini album with masculine-themed paper and embellishments. As with any class, you could choose any paper and theme, but I thought it would be fun to make one for Jabu.
I used some old autumn-themed papers in browns, greens, and yellows for the pages, as well as buttons and a buckle from my Mom’s button tin. The buckle is from my pair of school shoes when I was in primary school and I feel happy to be able to use it for this project 🙂 .
It was such fun to create again – I have been just too tired and busy lately, and this reminds me of how much I love to craft things. I still get my “fix” by watching others create on Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, and more, but it is not quite the same as doing your own stuff.
Here is the album – page by page. Of course, each page will have at least one photo on it – usually in the circular photo mats, but they can be put anywhere on the pages.
I used a stencil to put brown paint on some pages, as well as some yellow sparkly paste which looks really cool. I fussy cut pieces from an embellishment page (which included the wording and buckles), and various buttons and press studs.
I also drew stitching on the pages using gold and brown Sharpies.
Here is a close up of two of the elements:
I really enjoyed making this album, and look forward to making more time to create in the very near future.
Hope you are all having a great weekend. Thanks for popping in. See you all soon.
