One of the things that really does me in is when things don’t go according to plan, when things don’t happen as people say they will, or when people are late.
There were a few things that needed to be in place for Colin to come home on Saturday, we had to do home carer training, we had to make sure we could do car transfers safely, we needed a tow bar on my Dad’s car, and we needed the wheelchair rack for the car. We know it was cutting it fine, but the tow bar took the 3 days they said it would, and the wheelchair rack was made on time, but had to be delivered today because tomorrow is a public holiday, and the day after that Colin is coming home.
We had an appointment for the rack to be delivered at 11 this morning, and I had several other things that also needed to be done. After a few calls to the place, and an hour and a half later, it was installed on the car, at last.
I am still waiting for a formal diagnosis from the Neurosurgeon who operated on Colin 96 days ago – the medical aid needs it to continue paying for Colin’s treatment, and I am so frustrated that these types of things are so difficult to facilitate.
I am not going to go see Colin today because it is now too late, but here are the preliminary pictures of the wheelchair rack in its folded position. There are two ramps that are in the car that attach which are not pictured.

This is so hard for you but progress has been made, this awful time will pass and things will be brighter again ?☀️?
