Colin was tired today, but is doing well. I need to learn to be less anxious when he is quiet or tired as it doesn’t always mean there is anything wrong.
He is slowly gaining strength and continues with little wins. Today he fed himself 4 spoons by himself, and the OT helped him finish the rest of his food. He is slowly winning and working really hard every day.
It is probably going to be a long and on-going battle with two steps forward and one step backwards, but overall he is still winning.
Today I am grateful for all positive people in the rehab, all the friendly faces, and people who are also trying to make their through this terribly muddle. Also, Colin said that some of the nurses (fully supervised) are sort of learners and he often has to tell them what or how to do things. He said tonight that I do the suction for his trachy the best of anyone there. *Big smile* Love you Colin. See you tomorrow.
