They did replace his trachy today at 3pm. I was a little late due to traffic, and arrived just as he came round.
Suddenly, I have more hope – his colour is just so much better, and despite being a little dopey still, he was in good spirits.
He sill needs to learn how to talk with the new valve (or whatever it is), and that may take some time. He is not able to talk yet, but we are half way there. He can learn so that is a win.
He asked me to go again tonight, and so I will leave shortly to go see him.
Today I am grateful for recovery, no matter how long it takes. I really see more hope and can begin to see the way forward now. YAAAY Colin. We are all pulling for you – you just need to come home soon. We all miss you terribly.
Judy
Everything is looking so much better now ……the small miracles each day are becoming bigger ….. This time will soon pass and you and Colin will be home together … Keep positive …..
Love and hugs xxx
