Today is nearly over, and I am glad.
Long story short, I had a phone call today saying that apparently Colin has due to be released on Sunday afternoon.
So little of what needs to be done, IS done, and I am freaking out a little. Colin is making strides, and I believe he would still benefit from continued and intensive physio and occupational therapy. He has not spoken to a vocational counselor yet about the possibility of return to work, he had not been seen by an out-patient assessor for out-patient therapy, and I have no idea what the next steps are.
I am fetching him tomorrow morning, as planned, and return him to rehab on Sunday, as planned. If the information I have is is correct, he will then spend Monday evening at the rehab, have a full day of therapy on Monday, and perhaps half a day on Tuesday, but he will have to be out by noon on Tuesday. Part of the issue is that no one can agree on the actual number of days he has been at the rehab, and the administration side of things has fallen over. The physios have been outstanding, and he is still making progress, so he will work hard at out-patient physio, but he may be home for good on Tuesday. I am sad for him that he will have to leave since he is still making such progress, but this is what has to be done, so there it is.
Colin says he is not afraid to come home, but we both agree that he will be ok if he does have to come home.
The Rehab is writing a motivation which may be considered, but there are no guarantees that he will have an extension.
I will keep you all posted on where he will be, and what he will be doing.
The builders are working slowly, but the work they are doing is really good. The ramps are not poured yet, but the prep work is almost done. He says there will be something like 9 tonnes of concrete poured, and it is really being prepared thoroughly. I will post pics later, but it is very impressive. It will be a challenge to get Colin in and out this weekend, but it will be better soon. They they will start on the bathroom, and the fun will really begin.
I am very pleased with all the progress, but to be honest, I want it all finished, and things settled, and restful for a bit.

We are thankful for the progress that he made, it was a very long journey. We are sure he will become the best possible, hebis still young and strong. Everything will be ok, you will cope, you are a strong woman.

Things will settle down soon, it will be nice to have him home
