Show and Share – from Virginia Lu’s blog

Today’s creation is a card I made for a Show and Share hosted over at Virginia’s blog – Yes Virginia. She is one of the coordinators of the Altenew Academy, and is running a super Show and Share over on her blog. The aim is to get as many of us creating and sharing cards as possible, sharing encouragement, and getting inspired. Plus, there is a prize too 🙂

I have popped along to all the blogs to see the beautiful creations, and I encourage you to do the same. Nothing makes my day more than when someone leaves me a comment, and I can only imagine it is the same with the other creators.

Since this is a show and share, I am not sharing my process, although it was quite simple. I used the “smooshing” technique with Distress inks in Pumice Stone, Candied Apple, and Squeezed lemonade to create the background for the card. I like how subtle yet striking it is. to add some interest and a fun element, I used my Mega Thanks Die from Altenew to cut out a piece of red glitter paper(the kind that is not too blingy) and popped it up with a bit of craft foam to give it a little dimension.
